About Infor
A quick look at who Infor are and where they fit into a manufacturing or aerospace technology stack.
Built for specific industries, not every industry
Infor builds its ERP suites around a handful of industries it knows well, manufacturing, aerospace and defense, healthcare and distribution among them, instead of trying to be a one size fits all platform. That's why LN and M3 come with so much of the industry logic already built in rather than bolted on later.
Now backed by Koch Industries
Infor became part of Koch Industries in 2020, which gave it the kind of long term backing and stability that manufacturers care about when they are choosing a system meant to run their operations for the next decade or more.
CloudSuite is where most new deployments land
Infor has spent years moving its ERP products to the cloud under the CloudSuite name, running on AWS. Most new Infor rollouts we do today go straight to CloudSuite rather than an on-premise install, though plenty of long standing customers are still on LN or Baan on their own servers.
AI and automation built into the core products
Infor's Coleman AI runs inside the ERP itself, handling things like demand forecasting and anomaly detection without needing a separate bolt on tool. It's one of the reasons we lean on Infor so heavily when a client already wants agentic workflows layered on top of their ERP.
